Anonymous asked: What tools/supplies would you suggest for a beginner, and where's the best place to get them. thanks so much, your work is amazing.

The best recommendations I have for starting out would be to chat up the staff at your nearest Tandy Leather store, and check out the forums at leatherworker.net.

I typically tell people to start with the bare minimum of tools so that you don’t get stuck with stuff you don’t use.  You can make a lot with just a knife, awl, thread, and needles.

Thanks for the kind words.

Nice video from Inspiration LA with some good interviews with people who still do things right, and even a few quick shots of Hollows Leather stuff at the Archival Clothing booth.
