sinceseventyseven asked: I'm going to be up in the twin cities next week hitting record stores and a couple of scooter shops. Do you have any recommendations for places to look for durable hand-made goods or other interesting shops? I'm only up for a day trip, so I'm not sure how much progress we'll make once we get there.
tinmanbrainfarm asked: Do you light your product photos with a strobe or are they naturally lit?
Anonymous asked: To start off, your work is incredible. the care the you put into each piece really shows. with that being said, i have been inspired to start some leather work. I'm curious what you use to cut your leather because the knives i have tried are not working as well as id like. also, where can i get some leather less than 1 oz?

I hope everyone’s weekend was as good as mine.
Hang tight if you’re emailing me, I’ve got a bit of a backlog to work through this week.
High of 34 in Minneapolis today makes this my warmest birthday ever.
This is long overdue, but I’ve finally made a flickr set showing my buckle, thread, and color options all in one place. You can see it here. I’ll be adding more pictures as I think of things to include, but I’d also like suggestions. What else are you curious about that I could include?
Anonymous asked: I saw a picture of your personal stuff on flickr and it looked great! Did it start out that really light natural color (pale white-ish)? How did you get it to become so amazingly dark brown and patina-ed? I've been trying to get a veg tan belt to darken via sunlight and mink oil and its just turned sort of orange-red brown rather than a darker brown or tan-brown.
barbryallen asked: What got you interested in working with leather? Did you learn from someone or are you self taught? How long have you been doing it? ("What's your record for consecutive questions asked?" "38." "I'm your Dad's brother alright.", a movie scene based on my life.)
Anonymous asked: where do you buy your horween chromexcel from?

One last announcement. I’m going to have a table at SnowGRADE in February! It’s the wintry cold version of NorthernGRADE, so if you’re in the Twin Cities or nearby, you don’t want to miss out. I’ll probably be the least cool vendor there, and I’m pretty cool.

applepeels asked: howdy, I contacted you a long time ago about a belt, just haven't followed up but now i am hoping to have a belt made for a lady. I was wondering what your lady wears? my lady refuses to wear a belt even thought she would benefit from it, and would be less frustrated with her butt hanging out of her current jeans if she would. i think it has to do with her height being 5'2" and she...
